First Baptist Church of Boca Raton was established initially as a mission church in 1949.  In 1958, the mission was constituted as a church and located at 162 W Palmetto Park Rd.  Because of the growth of the church, a new property was purchased at 222 NW 51st St. (Yamato Rd.) The new church building was dedicated on November 1, 1970. An educational building was added in 1975.
 
As the First Baptist continued to grow, it became necessary to once again expand. In the early 1980s, the church moved to 2350 NW 51st (Yamato Rd.). The first service in the new location was on April 3, 1985.

In 1986, six families from FBC Boca Raton felt led to begin another church, and Boca Glades Baptist Church was birthed as a daughter church.
The families that started Boca Glades Baptist Church began meeting in homes in 1986. As the church grew, it was necessary to establish a larger and more permanent meeting place.  God provided the land at the corner of 441 and Oriole Country Road (now Judge Winikoff Rd) to the church in 1986. In 1988, the first worship center's construction was completed.  In 1996, the Education Building was constructed. In the year 2000, the Family Life Center was built. Then, in 2003, a new Worship Center was constructed (which is where we now have our worship gatherings) and the prior worship center complex was converted into the Children's Center.   With God's continued help, the church was able to remodel the Children's Center in 2008.  God has miraculously provided throughout the years every thing we need.  

In November, 2020, the Lord re-united Boca Glades Baptist Church, which was born out of the ministry of First Baptist Church Boca Raton, with First Baptist Church of Boca Raton.  From this union CrossBridge Church has been birthed.
